Rather predictable result in Iwate where second rankedAlphas (30-21) defeated 6th ranked Big Bulls (15-36) 84-78 on Sunday. Point guard Shun Matsuyama (175-1996) fired 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Alphas players scored in double figures. Point guard Kokoro Sekiya (179) produced 26 points and 5 assists and American forward Kelvin Martin (196-1989, college: Charleston So.) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Koshigaya A. maintains second position with 30-21 record having six points less than leader Chiba. Iwate lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 36 games lost.
