Very expected game when 6th rankedBig Bulls (15-35) lost to second ranked Alphas (29-21) in Iwate 72-82 on Saturday. Koshigaya A. dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Big Bulls 's 20 and made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners and scored 23 points. His fellow American import forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Alphas players scored in double figures. Point guard Harumichi Ishikawa (170-1999) came up with 32 points and American forward Kelvin Martin (196-1989, college: Charleston So.) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Iwate in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Koshigaya A. maintains second place with 29-21 record having seven points less than leader Chiba. Iwate lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 35 games lost.
