Very important is a road loss of second ranked Dolphins (28-18) against fourth ranked Dragonflies (24-20) on Saturday night. Visiting Dolphins were defeated by Dragonflies in a tough game in Hiroshima 70-79. Hiroshima D. forced 21 Nagoya DD turnovers. American forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies have a solid series of three victories in a row. Hiroshima D. maintains fourth place with 24-20 record. Nagoya DD lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 18 games lost. Hiroshima D. will meet at home league's second-placed Nagoya DD in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nagoya DD will have a break next round.
