The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofAl Ahli (2-1) in Doha on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Al Rayyan (1-2) 68-55 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Ahli D.. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Aladji Bobo Magassa (198-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Malek Salem (195-1985) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. At the losing side international forward Mohammed Abbasher (198-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Bruce Massey (190-1990, college: MTSU, agency: BIG) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Al Rayyan left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Al Sadd. Al Ahli at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Qatar Club.
