The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth rankedBallooners ' (22-21) road victory over 6th ranked Nagasaki (17-26) 80-71 on Wednesday. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Taiki Sumida (182-1999) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Saga B. maintains fifth position with 22-21 record, which they share with Akita NH. Nagasaki at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth place with 26 games lost.
