Regular Season Round 9: Rajawali - Pelita Jaya 75-94

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Jakarta: Pelita Jaya (#3) and Rajawali (#5). Rajawali was crushed at home by 19 points 75-94 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Pelita Jaya forced 25 Rajawali turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American forward KJ McDaniels (197-1993, college: Clemson) stepped up and scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and the former international guard Anthony Beane (188-1994, college: SIU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Quintin Dove (197, college: UT Martin) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Jabari Bird (198-1994, college: California) scored 27 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pelita Jaya have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Rajawali keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Pelita Jaya will play against Bali Utd. (#4) in Denpasar in the next round. Rajawali's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Jakarta to the arena Satria Muda.
