An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chiba. First rankedChiba faced 3rd ranked Volters . Host Chiba (40-3) defeated guests from Kumamoto (28-15) 106-95 . Chiba dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Volters 's 40 and made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Kumamoto V. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was guard Kei Sugimoto (184-1992) who scored 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). American forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St., agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Chiba have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chiba maintains first position with 40-3 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the third place with 15 games lost.
