There was a small surprise in Tokyo where second rankedRizing (28-13) beat their close opponent Alphas (25-16) 81-66 on Saturday. Fukuoka R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Koshigaya A. 's players. American forward Bryce Washington (203-1996, college: Louisiana) stepped up and scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Gavin Ware (206-1993, college: MSU) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Rizing players scored in double figures. Guard Reiju Sasakura (187-1997) responded with 22 points and American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukuoka R. maintains second place with 28-13 record having just one point less than leader Chiba which they share with defeated Koshigaya A. . Loser Alphas keeps the second position with 16 games lost.
