Bottom-rankedKanazawa managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Veertien Mie in Yokkaichi 87-74 . Kanazawa made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Veertien Mie outrebounded Kanazawa 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Ukrainian point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-1995, agency: BIG) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import guard Justin Pierce (201-1998, college: UNC, agency: Inception Sports) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kanazawa maintains eighteenth place with 5-23 record. Veertien Mie at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 26 games lost.
