The game had a very big importance for second-rankedAquas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Aquas defeated 4th ranked Taipei TM in Kaohsiung 98-94 . Kaohsiung A. forced 20 Taipei TM turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Aquas brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Taipei TM was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 assists for the winners. Five Aquas players scored in double figures. American forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (199-1991, college: Temple) replied with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international forward Tsung-Han Huang (193-1994) added 18 points in the effort for Taipei TM. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Aquas (12-6) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Newly promoted Taipei TM keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost.
