There was a surprise result when tenth rankedSwoops (16-21) outplayed 4th placed Excellence (23-14) in Gifu 90-68 on Saturday. Gifu dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Excellence 's 38. American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) nailed 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American forward Noah Dahlman (202-1989, college: Wofford) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. Latvian center Klavs Cavars (208-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian power forward Artem Kovalov (208-1997) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Yokohama in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gifu maintains tenth place with 16-21 record, which they share with Tokyo Z. Loser Excellence dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Saitama.
