Regular Season Round 40: Saga B. - FE Nagoya 73-80

There was a small surprise when fifth rankedFighting Eagles (18-19) defeated their close opponent Ballooners (19-20) in Saga 80-73 on Sunday. The winners were led by American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Ryo Sadohara (192-1999) supported him with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Even 25 points and 4 assists by Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) did not help to save the game for Saga B. . American Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted FE Nagoya maintains fifth position with 18-19 record which they share with defeated Saga B. . Saga B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with 20 games lost.
