Sixth-rankedBig Bulls (10-28) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Firebonds (15-23) in Iwate on Saturday. The visitors from Fukushima managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78 . However their fans expected easier game. Fukushima made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Fukushima had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fukushima especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Terrance King (198-1990, college: ESU, agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (208-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Slovenian forward Martin Krampelj (206-1995, college: Creighton) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Kokoro Sekiya (179) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Iwate. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fukushima maintains fifth place with 15-23 record. Newly promoted Iwate keeps the sixth position with 28 games lost.
