Everything went according to plan in Hiroshima where second ranked Dolphins (24-15) beat 4th ranked Dragonflies (19-18) 78-64 on Wednesday. Nagoya DD outrebounded Hiroshima D. 48-26 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nagoya DD looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Center Joshua Smith (210-1992, college: Georgetown) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Dolphins players scored in double figures. Dolphins' coach Shawn Dennis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Dolphins have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Nagoya DD maintains second position with 24-15 record having five points less than leader Ryukyu GK.
