Rather predictable result when second rankedVolters (26-11) beat on the road 5th ranked Shizuoka (16-21) 100-83 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Center Jamel McLean (203-1988, college: Xavier) scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Aaron White (206-1992, college: Iowa) chipped in 21 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Volters' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Kenny Lawson (207-1988, college: Creighton) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward John Harrar (205-1999, college: Penn St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kumamoto V. and five Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Kumamoto V. keeps a position of league leader. Newly promoted Shizuoka keeps the fifth place with 21 games lost.
