Rather expected game when 7th rankedOrange Vikings (9-26) were smashed by fourth ranked Storks (16-19) in Matsuyama 94-68 on Wednesday. It was a great shooting night for Nishinomiya S. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Nishinomiya S. made 7 blocks. The winners were led by American forward Trey Porter (210-1996, college: Nevada) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech, agency: Slash Sports) supported him with 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by American center Nigel Spikes (208-1989, college: Marshall) did not help to save the game for Ehime . American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) added 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nishinomiya S. maintains fourth position with 16-19 record. Loser Orange Vikings dropped to the sixth place with 26 games lost. They share the position with Iwate.
