An interesting game took place in Shinagawa where higher rankedGambarous (21-11) were upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Shinagawa (9-23) 92-82 on Sunday. Strangely Tokushima Gam. outrebounded Shinagawa 46-29 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Shinagawa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Tokushima Gam. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ito Ryota (177-1992) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 assists and guard Ikumi Takahashi (186-1998) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Shinagawa players scored in double figures. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinagawa maintains sixteenth position with 9-23 record. Tokushima Gam. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost.
