Regular Season Round 11: Steelers - Lioneers 104-89

There was a minor upset when 4th placedLioneers (7-8) were defeated by bottom-ranked Steelers (4-14) 104-89 on Saturday. Steelers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-American power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-1987, college: UConn) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American Deyonta Davis (211-1996, college: Michigan St., agency: MSG) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks and the other American import Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) added 25 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Steelers . Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Steelers maintains sixth place with 4-14 record. Loser Lioneers dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost.
