Regular Season Round 5: Hangtuah - Pacific Caesar 80-65

Bottom-rankedPacific Caesar (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-65 loss to sixth ranked Hangtuah (2-2) in Jakarta. Hangtuah outrebounded Pacific Caesar 49-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. American center Ronald Delph (213-1993, college: FAU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import Zoran Talley (198-1994, college: Iowa St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Talley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Canadian forward Stephen Hurt (211-1993, college: Kansas St.) answered with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Jaylyn Richardson (189-1998, college: WOU) added 20 points and 7 assists in the effort for Pacific Caesar. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Hangtuah went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with Satria Muda. Pacific Caesar at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Satya Wacana and Borneo.
