Very predictable result when second rankedAlphas (20-12) rolled over 7th ranked Orange Vikings (7-25) in Tokyo 103-74 on Sunday. Koshigaya A. made 30-of-39 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Ehime turnovers. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Shun Matsuyama (175-1996) nailed 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 20 points and 9 assists. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) came up with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Nigel Spikes (208-1989, college: Marshall) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ehime in the defeat. Four Ehime players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alphas have a solid series of four victories in a row. Koshigaya A. maintains second place with 20-12 record having four points less than leader Chiba. Ehime lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 25 games lost. They share it with Iwate.
