Regular Season Round 20: Niigata A. - Shiga L-Stars 80-89

Very expected game when 7th ranked Niigata A. (5-27) was defeated at home by first ranked Lakestars (24-8) 89-80 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino guard Kiefer Ravena (183-1993) who added 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. American forward Stacy Davis (198-1994, college: Pepperdine) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-1989, college: USAO, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lakestars have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Shiga L-Stars maintains first position with 24-8 record. Loser Niigata A. keeps the seventh place with 27 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niigata A. will play against the league's leader Shiga L-Stars (#1) and hope to secure a win.
