There was no surprise when 7th rankedOsaka E. (12-17) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Ballooners (16-13) 91-69 on Wednesday. Saga B. shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Taiki Sumida (182-1999) chipped in 18 points and 11 assists during the contest. Five Ballooners players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ballooners have a solid three-game winning streak. Saga B. moved-up to third place, which they share with Sunrockers Sh. and Chiba Jets. Osaka E. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers and Gunma CT.
