Very expected game when 7th rankedOrange Vikings (7-23) lost to first ranked Lakestars (23-7) in Matsuyama 81-87 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) notched 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Filipino guard Kiefer Ravena (183-1993) supported him with 19 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 30 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists by American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) did not help to save the game for Ehime . American guard Tucker Haymond (195-1994, college: W.Michigan) added 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lakestars have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Shiga L-Stars maintains first position with 23-7 record. Ehime lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 23 games lost.
