Regular Season Round 14: Qatar Club - Al Rayyan 77-72

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Doha: Qatar Club (#6) and Al Rayyan (#3). Qatar Club (6-8) won against visiting Al Rayyan (8-6) 77-72. Serbian Dejan Janjic (198-1995) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Faris Avdic (201-1997) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Qatar Club players scored in double figures. American swingman Andrew White III (200-1993, college: Syracuse) responded with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Hamad Mousa (194-2006) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Qatar Club maintains sixth position with 6-8 record. Defending champion Al Rayyan dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Qatar Club will meet at home bottom-ranked Al Khor (#9) in the next round. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Shamal.
