There was a small surprise in Mito where eighth rankedKyoto H. (8-18) defeated their close opponent Robots (2-24) 88-71 on Friday. American forward Kevin Jones (203-1989, college: WVU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Canadian-Filipino guard Matthew Wright (193-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds. Kyoto H.'s coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Kyoto H. maintains eighth place with 8-18 record which they share with defeated Ibaraki R. . Ibaraki R. lost their fourteenth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 24 games lost.
