Regular Season Round 20: Kagawa FA - Yamaguchi 104-70

Date: December 10, 2023
The game with biggest result difference took place in Takamatsu. Local Five Arrows (16-4) outscored 11th ranked Pats Five (8-12) 104-70 on Sunday night. Kagawa outrebounded Yamaguchi 41-21 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kagawa shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Evan Ravenel (204-1989, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Four Five Arrows players scored in double figures. Swingman Jelan-Miguel Kendrick (201-1991, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) responded with 12 points and 4 assists and guard Desmond Jackson (185-1992, college: AAMU) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Five Arrows have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Kagawa maintains second position with 16-4 record behind leader Fukui B., which they share with Kagoshima. Loser Pats Five dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Tokyo Z. Kagawa will meet league's leader Fukui B. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yamaguchi will play against Tokyo (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
