Seventh-rankedOrange Vikings (5-16) gave a tough game to third ranked Watts (13-8) in Matsuyama. The visitors from Aomori managed to secure only three-point victory 94-91 . However their fans expected much easier game. Aomori W. players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American power forward EJ Montgomery (208-1999, college: Kentucky) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) supported him with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Watts' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 30 points and 8 assists by point guard Takumi Furuno (178-1993) did not help to save the game for Ehime . Trinidad and Tobago center Jabari Narcis (206-1997, college: UT Arlington) added 23 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Watts have a solid three-game winning streak. Aomori W. maintains third position with 13-8 record having just three points less than leader Chiba. Ehime lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Iwate.
