Everything went according to plan when third rankedNagasaki (11-6) defeated 7th ranked Ballooners (8-9) in Saga 91-81 on Wednesday. Nagasaki made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston, agency: BIG) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds. Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Saga B. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains third place with 11-6 record having just three points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Saga B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers.
