WJBL top team -Toyota A. (12-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Hitachi Cougars (5-7) in Nagoya 84-75 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hitachi Cougars. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Kadysha Umezawa (190-1998) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Mai Yamamoto (163-1999) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Honoka Morioka (172-2004) answered with 14 points and 8 assists and Senegalese center Daramee Malem-Doi (187-1997) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Hitachi Cougars. Hitachi Cougars' coach Tomohide Utsumi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota A. have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Hitachi Cougars at the other side keep the eighth position with seven games lost.
