There was a minor upset when their close opponentIwate (3-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Bambitious (6-11) 77-71 on Sunday. Bambitious outrebounded Iwate 43-29 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-1987, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and American Shaquille Hines (201-1993, college: UTRGV) who added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. Slovenian forward Martin Krampelj (206-1995, college: Creighton) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Kelvin Martin (196-1989, college: Charleston So.) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bambitious have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 6-11 record which they share with defeated Iwate . Iwate lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost.
