There was no surprise when 4th rankedYamagata (8-9) was crushed at home by second ranked Koshigaya A. (12-5) 90-63 on Saturday. Koshigaya A. outrebounded Yamagata 44-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Isaac Butts (208-1989, college: App State) who added 14 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. TJ Holyfield (203-1995, college: Texas Tech) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Michael Finke (208-1996, college: GCU, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Koshigaya A. maintains second position with 12-5 record having just two points less than leader Chiba. Loser Yamagata keeps the fourth place with nine games lost.
