The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th rankedSaitama 's (9-6) road loss to fourth ranked Kagoshima (11-4) in Renova 70-83 on Saturday. Kagoshima had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for guard Tim Guers (190-1996, college: St.Anselm, agency: Diamond Sports) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Logan Routt (211-1997, college: WVU, agency: Diamond Sports) accounted for 7 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds and power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Saitama in the defeat. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kagoshima . They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kagawa FA. Loser Saitama dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
