Regular Season Round 13: Saitama - Tokyo Z 86-71

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Tokyo Z (6-7) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Saitama (9-4) 86-71. Saitama made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) nailed 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Saitama's coach Shugaku Izumi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Cameron Parker (188-1998, college: Portland St.) came up with 22 points and forward Jacob Lampkin (206-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Tokyo Z in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saitama moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yokohama EX and Tokushima Gam. Tokyo Z at the other side keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Saitama will again play against Tokyo Z (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tokyo Z will have a break next round.
