Important game to mention about took place in Okinawa. Second rankedRyukyu GK (10-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Shimane SM (8-5) 80-77 on Saturday evening. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Shimane SM 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. American power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Allen Durham (198-1988, college: Grace Christian) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Ryukyu GK's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Perrin Buford (198, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five Ryukyu GK and four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. Ryukyu GK have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Shimane SM at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Nagasaki.
