Very important is a home loss of third ranked Nishinomiya S. (7-4) against fifth ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-5) on Sunday night. Host Nishinomiya S. was defeated by Shiga L-Stars in a tough game in Hyogo 67-71. American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American forward Justin Burrell (204-1988, college: St.John's) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Trey Porter (210-1996, college: Nevada) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import center Nigel Spikes (208-1989, college: Marshall) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yamagata and Shizuoka. Nishinomiya S. lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Aomori W.. Shiga L-Stars will meet at home Niigata A. (#7) in the next round. Nishinomiya S. will play against Iwate (#6) and hope to secure a win.
