Regular Season Round 10: Chiba Jets - Sea Horses M. 83-88

An interesting game was also home defeat of 3rd ranked Chiba Jets in a game versus Sea Horses M. (#4) 88-83. It was a great shooting night for Sea Horses M. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Jake Layman (206-1994, college: Maryland) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Sea Horses M. players scored in double figures. Sea Horses M.'s coach Ryan Richman used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Chiba Jets. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) added 18 points for lost side. Sea Horses M. (6-4) moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Chiba Jets. Loser Chiba Jets keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers and Gunma CT. Sea Horses M. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chiba Jets will play again against Sea Horses M. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
