Regular Season Round 9: Kagoshima - Shinagawa 80-48

Date: November 3, 2023
The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Kagoshima as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kagoshima smashed 13th ranked Shinagawa in Renova 80-48. Kagoshima looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-1993, college: LCU) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Ito Ryota (177-1992) answered with 15 points and 6 steals and American center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Shinagawa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagoshima have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Shinagawa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Shanan Utd. Shinagawa will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Kagoshima will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Shinagawa at home.
