Very important is a road loss of third ranked Long-Lions (3-1) against eleventh ranked Guangsha Lions (2-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Long-Lions were defeated by Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou 97-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Long-Lions. Guangsha Lions made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Derrick Walton Jr (185-1995, college: Michigan) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Guangsha Lions' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Albanian point guard Dallas Moore (185-1994, college: UNF) replied with 33 points (!!!) and Taiwanese point guard Ray Chen (182-1993, college: Liberty) added 11 points and 8 assists in the effort for Long-Lions. Guangsha Lions moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams. Long-Lions at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Guangdong ST and Xinjiang FT. Guangsha Lions will play against higher ranked Aviators (#3) in Shenzhen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Long-Lions will play at home against Royal Fighters and hope to get back on the winning track.
