Regular Season Round 8: Fukui B. - Tokyo HT 113-77

Leader Fukui B. delivered the sixth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Tokyo HT (5-3) 113-77. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Fukui B. shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. Tokyo HT was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Perry Ellis (203-1993, college: Kansas) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward TK Edogi (203-1994, college: Iona) replied with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Taren Sullivan (198-1995, college: Findlay, OH) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo HT. Five Fukui B. and four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Fukui B. maintains first position with 6-2 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Tokyo HT at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
