Rather expected game in Okinawa where bottom-ranked Toyama G. (0-9) was rolled over by fifth ranked Ryukyu GK (7-2) 85-59 on Sunday. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Toyama G. 42-28 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Allen Durham (198-1988, college: Grace Christian) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import center Alex Kirk (211-1991, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Filipino-British power forward AJ Edu (208-2000, college: Toledo) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Naoki Uto (191-1991) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
