Very expected game when 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (4-5) were defeated at home by first ranked Chiba (8-1) 86-77 on Saturday. Chiba had a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kei Sugimoto (184-1992) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Filipino guard Kiefer Isaac Ravena (183-1993) produced 20 points and 9 assists and American forward Justin Burrell (204-1988, college: St.John's) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Shiga L-Stars' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Chiba maintains first position with 8-1 record, which they share with Fukuoka R. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the fifth place with five games lost. Chiba will meet Aomori W.
