Regular Season Round 3: Jilin NE T. - Guangdong ST 104-105

The most exciting game of round 3 in the CBA took place in Changchun. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of Jilin Tigers (1-2) to Guandong Tigers (3-0) 105-104 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Guandong Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American MarShon Brooks (197-1989, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian-American power forward Nick Rakocevic (211-1997, college: USC, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Weize Jiang (182-2000) scored 15 points and 9 assists. Guandong Tigers is looking forward to face Flying Leopards (#4) in Yingkou in the next round. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Pioneers (#13) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
