Very predictable result when second ranked Tochigi Brex (5-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Ibaraki R. (0-7) 96-80 on Wednesday. American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) fired 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) chipped in 15 points. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Hayato Yamaguchi (195-1998) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
