No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Gifu (3-3) crushed on the road 15th ranked Okayama (1-5) 91-55 on Sunday. Gifu dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Okayama's 26. They outrebounded Okayama 40-22 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gifu looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Okayama's players. American center Baylee Steele (213-1997, college: Duquesne, agency: One Motive Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) supported him with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Even 10 points by New Zealand forward Taane Samuel (200-1999) did not help to save the game for Okayama. American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) added 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gifu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Yokohama EX and Shinagawa. Okayama lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost.
