Second defeat of league's leader Fukui B. (4-2) against ninth ranked Saitama (4-2) 78-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukui B.. Saitama made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Nigerian-American power forward Maxie Esho (206-1991, college: UMass) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line).
