There was no surprise when 12th ranked Tokyo Z (2-4) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Tokyo Utd (4-2) 84-56 on Thursday. Tokyo Utd forced 19 Tokyo Z turnovers. American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) stepped up and scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Takeshi Shingo (175-1995) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Nick Allen (203-1997, college: UTSA) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Jacob Lampkin (206-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Utd moved-up to fifth place. Loser Tokyo Z dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
