Regular Season Round 4: Shinagawa - Tokyo HT 85-95

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 7th ranked Shinagawa (2-2) to fourth ranked Tokyo HT (3-1) 95-85. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tokyo HT outrebounded Shinagawa 36-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Shinagawa's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish center David Doblas (208-1981) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Taren Sullivan (198-1995, college: Findlay, OH) who added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. Tokyo HT's coach Tyler Gatlin used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side U.S. Virgin Islands forward Shaquan Jules (201-1999, college: Radford) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ito Ryota (177-1992) scored 20 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Tokyo HT and four Shinagawa players scored in double figures. Tokyo HT have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams.
