Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Top-ranked Ryukyu GK (4-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging bottom-ranked Hitachi SRT (0-4) 84-82 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Ryukyu GK outrebounded Hitachi SRT 33-22 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Alex Kirk (211-1991, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Even 26 points by American Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for Hitachi SRT. The former international forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ryukyu GK have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FE Nagoya and Nagasaki. Hitachi SRT at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Ryukyu GK will play against league's second-placed Kawasaki BT in Kanagawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi SRT will have a break next round.
