Regular Season Round 2: Ehime OV - Yamagata 64-66

A very close game took place in Matsuyama between Yamagata and Ehime OV. Yamagata got a very close victory on the road over Ehime OV. Yamagata managed to escape with a 2-point win 66-64 on Saturday evening. American James Bell (196-1992, college: Villanova, agency: Slash Sports) scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Australian point guard Kazuma Okajima (171-2003) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists during the contest. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198, college: LBSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Takumi Furuno (178-1993) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yamagata will meet at home Nishinomiya S. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ehime OV will play against Kumamoto V. and hope to win that game.
