There was no surprise when Bambitious N. was defeated on the road by Chiba 83-76 on Sunday. Chiba dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious N.'s 22. They outrebounded Bambitious N. 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. American Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kei Sugimoto (184-1992) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American power forward Cameron Jackson (203-1996, college: Wofford) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import Shaquille Hines (201-1993, college: UTRGV) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bambitious N.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba will meet Iwate on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bambitious N. will play against Nishinomiya S. and hope to win that game.
